Born in 1893 at East Jordan, Michigan, she is best remembered for having campaigned to save the historic Grand Traverse County Courthouse from demolition in the mid-1970s. She also owned and operated a bookstore. Volume includes her reminiscenses, titled "Writings," as well as newspaper clippings, images, and letters.
